Bookshelf App
I have been looking a good ebook reader app for my iPhone for quite some time now. I can’t use iBooks because mine is jailbroken and I really do not want to buy e-books when its amount is the same as a paperback.
A friend searched for one and came up with Bookshelf!
APP: BookShelf
PLATFORM: iPhone
COMPLEX SAYS: Why would you pay $4.99 for an e-reader when you can cop four for free? Well, if you’re using a bunch of odd file formats, you can use BookShelf to treat them just like regular e-books. You can bookmark anything: PDFs, Word Docs, HTML, or even old PalmDocs.
Features include:
- Read in portrait or landscape with the ability to "lock-in" an orientation regardless of the device’s current position
- Add named bookmarks to any document type
- Auto-scroll at various speeds to read "hands-free"
- Support for large files — no upper limit on size, and files as large as 7MB open in seconds
- Color themes for foreground and background color
- User selectable font and size for text files
- Easy interface to download books from your desktop OR from online book stores
- Complete off-line usage. Once downloaded to the device, books can be read without an Internet connection and in airplane mode

The screen is auto-fit and can be locked in position. You get to change the background and the text color, font and size.
And best of all, I can read all ebook formats (which I can get somewhere else).
