TV Series Updates

television

I might be busy with black mold removal products research but I make sure I am updated with my TV series and movies.

1. I only watched one Pinoy movie – It Takes a Man and a Woman. JLC and Sarah G = great movie loveteam!

2. The Voice. New mentors are better.

3. Game of Thrones Season 3. Jamie Lannister.

4. My son started watching the Big Bang Theory.

5. The Vampire Diaries episode “The Originals” – super great prelude to the new series. Klaus is something else.

6. Beauty and the Beast. They did it!! :)

7. Scandal– SevenFiftyTwo

8. Glee – Blaine <3

9. Grey’s Anatomy Forever.

10. I need new series!

Books and Movies: February

I think printing companies online would definitely go out of business if people will go read e-books. I have to admit though, it has made reading easier!

Here are a few books I’ve read this month:
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The Fault in our Stars
One Hundred Names
The Battle Hymn of a Tiger Mother
The Hypnotist’s Love Story

I have not watched as many movies I am accustomed to:
Life of Pi
Frank and Robot

Grey’s Anatomy, The Vampire Diaries, Glee, Scandal, Beauty and the Beast are my consistent TV watch every week!

Me and My Love for TV Series

I have been honest with my love for TV series. I follow a lot of shows, more than 10 actually, and half of them I watch during Fridays when I am out with friends or family celebrating the end of a work week. This causes me to miss some shows, not to mention two of most favorite TV series (No.1 and No.2 in my list actually) happens to be on the same timeslot!

What does a girl to do?

I am thankful there is direct tv Phoenix that allows me access to cable TV channels and have DVR too so I can record shows. And did I mention that it records my shows in high-definition TV? The HD-DVR will also let me rewind and even pause my shows live, on my Digital TV.

Spell S-W-E-E-T!

Our family bonds while watching movies at home. It is cheaper and safer for us to stay at home during weekends. I also watch my favorite TV series as a way to unwind after work week. You can say we are a family of couch potatoes. We prefer to watch movies in high definition because coupled with a great TV screen, it can look as if we are watching in theaters already – we get to save on that too.

DirecTV continuously strives to ensure that more satellites will be used along with other methods to amplify the bandwidth, so that the quality in programming you receive will not be disturbed.

So why do we choose DirecTV?
1. We have the ability to watch 1500 local HD channels and currently about 100 national channels. Not only do we get to watch movies, we have access to a lot of many informative history channels and educational channels that are a great source of education for children and adults alike..
2. We also benefit from several news channels, bringing us the most up-to-date, and latest news, more weather channels to keep families informed and safe.
3. It is relatively cheaper, since we get to enjoy a lot of channels at a discounted price.
4. The ability to able to record our shows at high definition with DVR. I think, for us, that would be the biggest advantage. As a family of four with different ages, we have different favorite shows, often being shown at the same timeslot. The kids always win, so we just record our shows and watch them while they are asleep.

TV Series: Supernatural

Jared Padalecki Jensen Ackles

I am so happy with this season of Supernatural. Season 7 was way boring and disjointed – I really think they should not have dealt with Leviathans at all. With Season 8, we’ve got the core conflict – Sam not wanting to be a hunter, Dean wanting to hunt all the time – and the core characters back – Castiel and Crowley. And while Bobby is dead, goofy Garth might have taken his place (I would not mind seeing more of him this season) and a new prophet in the form of Kevin Tran. It’s all about angels vs. demons again, with a bit of vampires in the between. While I am not a fan of doing battles in an american made church chair in Church, I want to see more character development this season and story progressions.

TV Series: Homeland Season 1

I have been hearing so many great things about Homeland and I have downloaded it weeks ago but just chose to watch Revenge first. I finally was able to watch six episodes last night and wow! No wonder they swept the Emmy’s – the series is riveting and full of suspense. You never know what happens next and who is the bad guy. One minute they are building with eye bolts trying to catch the guy and then there would be a twist and you would be floored.

I will try not to finish this season this week but it is hard!

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Episode 2: Remember the Time

Who knew that this was going to be such a tear jerker?

“I had this memory game when I was a kid, a bunch of cards facedown in rows. Each card has a picture. You turn one over, look at it, then you turn it back over. Then you have to try and remember where its matching card was. The cards seem completely out of order and random, but you keep turning them over. And the more cards you see… you get a sense of how everything fits together.”

The highlight of the show, hands down, was Mark Sloan. And his “surge” where he was able to deliver this very memorable line:

“‎If you love someone you tell them, even if you’re scared that it’s not the right thing, even if you’re scared that it’ll cause problems, even if you’re scared that it’ll burn your life to the ground, you say it and you say it out loud and you go from there.”
— Mark Sloan

And then we got to hear what really happened to Cristina Yang. Somehow, knowing how animals competed over Lexie was very unsettling. And not sleeping for four days. And drinking her own pee. Rhodium Coins won’t even lure me into trying to get into a plane after experiencing that. I fully understand Yang there.

And you know what’s better? Meredith’s answer as to why she would not leave Seattle Grace:

“This is a place where horrible things happen. You were right to go. You’re probably escaping disaster. Look at me. I practically grew up here. And you’re right. It’s hurt me in ways I’ll probably never get over. I have a lot of memories of people… people I’ve lost forever. But I have a lot of other memories, too. This is the place where I fell in love. The place where I found my family. This is where I learned to be a doctor, where I learned how to take responsibility for someone else’s life. And it’s the place I met you. So I figure this place has given me as much as it’s taken from me. I’ve lived here as much as I’ve survived here. It just depends on how I look at it. I’m gonna choose to look at it that way and remember you that way. Hope you’re good. Bye”

Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 Premiere

And so it begins.

We all knew it was coming, but it was still so bittersweet. I cried died tears, the type that leaves such a huge empty ache in the days to come. I cannot wait to watch the rest, and flashback episode this week!

In honor of Mark Sloan, I thought I’d share some cute quotes:

And Shonda just explains it better so you might just need to mosy over her explanation:

Mark would never abandon willingly Sofia and he would never willingly abandon Callie. So Mark dies. And he and Lexie get to be together in a way. Their love remains true.”

“MEANT TO BE”

Remember this?

I

love you, and I have been trying not to say it.. I have been trying so hard to just mash it down and ignore it and not say it.. and Jackson is a great guy, he is, he’s gorgeous, and he’s younger than you.. and he doesn’t have any grand kids or babies with his lesbian BFFs, and he’s an Avery, and he likes me.. you know, he really likes me.. but it was never gonna work out.. because I love you!

I’m so in love with you.,and you’re in me.. it’s like you’re a disease.. its like I am infected by Mark Sloan and I just can’t.. I can’t think about anything or anybody, and I can’t sleep, I can’t breathe, I can’t eat, and I love you.. I just I love you all the time, every minute of everyday.. and I love you!
