For an Upset Stomach:
Bismuth subsalicylate (Pepto-Bismol) is an OTC liquid medication recommended by many for the treatment of indigestion, nausea, and diarrhea.

For Diarrhea:
Attapulgite (Kaopectate, Donnagel, Diatrol, and others) is an OTC medication that helps control diarrhea.

For Allergies:
Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) is an antihistamine that treats allergic reactions and itch.

Quitting Smoking by Getting Some Help

My husband has been a smoker for close to 15 years. He started smoking late, during his early 20′s and it only started as an experiment. He was curious how it tasted. It is interesting to note that he was a health buff during these years – playing basketball, exercising, drinking a gallon of fresh milk almost everyday – those kinds of things. He tried it, and unfortunately, got hooked.

Fast forward to now and he is still smoking. He averages a pack a day on stressful days, half a pack when he is trying to moderate things. He knows he should quit, as he is feeling the effects of smoking already. He noticed he gets tired easily and couldn’t play basketball (his favorite sport) in a way he is used to. The death of his brother at the age of 46 last month prompted him to get serious in becoming healthy again. And this involved quitting smoking, for good.

He has been curious on how e cigarettes work, seeing my sister and her boyfriend use them (they are also trying to curb the bad habit). His dad gave him one as a gift, after reading e cigarette reviews online.

He has been using the e-cigarette for a month and a half now and so far so good. He has cut down to smoking real cigarettes to about a pack a week now. I love that he doesn’t smell cigarettes anymore and glad I don’t smell smoke in the car too. I hope he gets to really quit for good this time. It’s for his health.
