Things to Do on a Rainy Day
When it’s Saturday or Sunday and raining, sometimes it feels like there is nothing to do. Sometimes leaving the home can be bothersome, especially if it’s storming. But, if watching television makes you bored, and you don’t have any other things to do, try some of the following ideas.
1. Get organized. Go through your closet or drawers and remove clothing or shoes that no longer fit. Pack them up to donate. You’ll feel more organized and feel good about giving things away, too.
2. Have a movie marathon. Go through your old movies and pick some of your faves. Pop some popcorn and sack out on the couch.
3. Write. Whether you’d like to start a diary or just write a letter to your grandma, take an hour or so and write your thoughts.
4. Pull out the newspaper and try your hand at a crossword puzzle. You’ll be surprised what a challenge can do for you!
5. Try a board game. Has it been years since you’ve played Monopoly? Ask a friend or family member to play with you.
6. Make new recipes. Use the Internet to find a new recipe and have fun with it.
7. Call an old friend. It will feel good to catch up with your old pal.
8. Research. Wish you knew more about your ancestry? Interested in a trip to New York City? Want to learn how to knit? Use books around the house or the Internet to research about the newest person, place, or hobby that interests you.
9. Clean. A sense of achievement is often what one will feel when cleaning a room, home, or car. So, get scrubbing!
10. Take a nap. Oftentimes you don’t realize you need to catch up on sleep. Get some rest and wake up refreshed.
With this list, you’re sure to find something to do during your rainy weekend.
Easy Chicken Dinner Recipes
Ever since December started and temperatures started to drop I had been very very lazy to cook. In fact, I haven’t cooked in two weeks already. Do not ask me how my kids are surviving. They are all very happy because we have been eating take-out food from their favorite take-out fast food restaurant more times than we ever ate there in the entire year! I need to snap back to being a good mommy and cook again or else our budget will go haywire. Chicken recipes are the ones I look for because we have been trying to stay away from pork and beef is too expensive for us, especially since the kids are not really fans of cow products.
Easy Recipes are also needed. I do not want extensive preparations. I look for the ones that would require minimal preparation. I’m a crockpot kind of girl in that regard. I am actually looking for Dinner Recipes that can be great for leftovers and can be recycle into another meal. There are only three of us who eat at home – me, a 9 year old who loves anything fried and a toddler. You would be able to deduce why cooking will be hard for me as I detest having leftovers (I get guilty of too much food going to waste I end up eating them!)
This might be perfect for the kids!
