Fall TV Season!
I am sooooo excited! Next week it is September already which means it’s start of Fall TV in a few weeks!
I am looking forward to watching Glee, Supernatural, Fringe and The Vampire Diaries next month! I think I will be watching a lot of TV while I exercise on the elliptical! Yep, I have been exercising again, determined not to take any weight loss pills. Let’s do this the hard way!!
Captain America the Movie
Of course, we would not even have needed invitationbox.com save the dates to remind us of the movie showing. We watched it on Friday, a few days after its premiere.

You might remember Chris Evans as Johnny Storm in the movie Fantastic Four, only he was not as beefed up in that movie as he was in this. I am not an avid Avengers fan so I do not know if the movie stayed true to form but I found it entertaining. Having watched most Avengers movies from Hulk, Iron Man 1 & 2, Thor – and now this, I love Steve Rogers aka Captain America’s story more. I also like how it all links to the upcoming Avengers movie, the trailer of which was shown after the movie credits ended.

And I would not post a review without a shirtless screencap of course:

I will most definitely be watching out for this movie:

The highly anticipated climactic coalition of the earth’s mightiest superheroes, better known as The Avengers, is scheduled for release May 4th 2012.

Really looking forward to this massive team up. Admittedly, quite a few Marvel movies have sucked. On the other hand, some were pretty amazing. I just hope that the Avengers movie out in 2012 is one of the latter. Joss Whedon is confirmed as the director, and I hope he does add his magic touch to the film. It seems that the movie will be a new story made up of various origins:
It will be a new story that has many things from different arcs of the comics in it. There is no one Avengers story that you can just do the way that you can do the origin of Spider-Man. You really have to cull from the original and The Ultimates, which is one of The Avengers titles. – Joss Whedon
Sexy Black Widow

There are rumours that going forward, most Marvel Movies will fall in the same universe instead of spawning new ones for every film. Infact, there were rumours of The Black Widow and Hawkeye to make appearances in Iron Man Two, we saw the stunning Scarlett Johansen as the Black Widow and Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury certifying this rumour.
It just really just goes back to the very first incarnation of The Avengers. It goes to The Ultimates, it goes to everything about it. It makes no sense, it’s ridiculous. There’s a thunder god, there’s a green “ID” giant rage monster, there’s Captain America from the 40s, there’s Tony Stark who definitely doesn’t get along with anybody. Ultimately these people don’t belong together and the whole movie is about finding yourself from community. And finding that you not only belong together but you need each other, very much. Obviously this will be expressed through punching but it will be the heart of the film. – Joss Whedon
It seems that other Avengers favourites like the Wasp have been left out, as it has been confirmed that The Widow is the only female avenger (awww
)

Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows 7.2
Who would not be sad with the ending of Harry Potter? First it was the books and now, the movies. It has defined what I can call my “early motherhood” years and I would always equate Harry Potter with a mother’s undying love, and how it has kept me entertained when I was stuck at home for a few years with the kids.
I will miss you “Haeree Puh-toh!”

And the movie lived up to the ending. There were a number of scenes where my hairs on my skin literally stood up and a few touching scenes where I tried hard not to cry.
I grew fond of these actors as well. We literally saw them grow up before our eyes.

And Severus – quite a redemption towards the end.
But as the tag line said, “It ALL Ends Here.”
Thank you for the memories, Haeri Puh-Toh.
Movie: Finding Mr. Destiny (Korean)

I love Gong Yoo. I think I may have blogged about him many times. I have been waiting for him to come out with a new TV series or movie ever since he came out from military service and this was the first movie he did. I knew this was coming as early as December last year but it took this long for me to able to download a torrent with romanized versions – it was worth the wait though. Gong Yoo proves to be more than a pretty face to me in this picture, he effectively loses himself in his character that I forgot the ever cool Han Kyul in Coffee Prince who mans the POS systems with arrogance bossing Eu Chan around
.
He also sang the soundtrack for the movie! Gotta love well-rounded guys
TV Series: The Vampire Diaries

Hmm, I think it will be a very busy September for me. Aside from Glee and Supernatural, I have just finished The Vampire Diaries and though I didn’t like the first season, the second season was better – and that did me in. I guess I will be watching out for this series come September! I can’t wait.
The husband and I watch the series and he naturally likes Nina Doberev (who doesn’t?) and I love Ian Somerhalder’s eyes. I would need all the slimming pills that work to be able to get Elena/Katherine’s flat tummy and gorgeous legs – that lady is one hot chick!
And yep, they are dating (even if they do not confirm NOR deny):

Lucky Ian…Lucky Nina. Look at those eyes:
