Celebrities Who Use Wigs and Hairpieces
Hair loss is genetic. Although it is more common in men than in women, a lot of people experience it especially when they reach old age. A few weeks ago, a cousin of mine has been complaining of his receding hairline. It seems that his other side of the family has the hair loss gene. He has been thinking about how to address the problem because the way it looks now has been bothering him.
Since he does not want to any solution that will require a lot of money, I told him about the possibility of wearing wigs and hairpieces. He laughed at the idea but I seriously told him that he only needs to get a good one and no one would even know that he is wearing a wig. I gave him the details of a beauty supply warehouse where a hair and makeup artist of mine gets black hair extensions and told him to look at the wigs first and to try them out. He was really against the idea so I told him about the male celebrities who allegedly wore wigs also at some point in their career. You would be surprised to know how many Hollywood celebrities wear wigs and yet they are barely noticeable. Below are some of these celebrities.
· Burt Reynolds. Although he denies that he wears wigs even back in the 70s, a lot of people noticed how his hairline seemed to have stopped receding all of a sudden.
· Ben Affleck. One of the things you will notice with this actor is his hairline. A rumor about him losing his wig at a party fueled more wig speculations.
· Matthew Mcconaughey. Back in 1999, a picture of this actor wearing a wig surfaced and it sparked discussions of who else among Hollywood actors are wearing one as well.
Movie: Thor (and a Shirtless Chris Hemsworth)

We watched Thor last week and we all enjoyed it – including my five year old daughter. The storyline itself was good – did not veer away from the Marvel comic books – and they tried to fit a very long story into a two hour movie. Anthony Hopkins was perfect for Odin and may I saw Chris Hemsworth was a revelation? I would have tried out free online dating if he was there — I think he is an uglier version of Brad Pitt, until I saw this:

He is certainly his own man. Especially when you see Chris Hemsworth shirtless in the Thor movie (too bad it was only in one scene – I would not mind if they milked this!)

Movies: The Holiday, How Do You Know?, No Strings Attached, All About Steve
It’s been awhile since I made a movie post. Since I love girly romantic movies, here are the latest four movies I have watched lately:
The Holiday
How Do You Know?
No Strings Attached
All About Steve

No Strings Attached and How Do You Know? are newer films while the other two are circa 2006 and 2010(?).
All of these are light, feel-good movies. Sandra has perfected romantic comedy to a T. She plays Mary Horowitz in All About Steve perfectly! And lest you think this movie is all about Bradley Cooper (Steve), it isn’t. It is all about a cruciverbalist (Crossword puzzle maker – that’s a real job, as evidenced by Mary, who even attended a career orientation to discuss but she ends up feeling depressed and looking forlornly over the school playground equipment).
No Strings Attached was a surprisingly nice movie. I have not seen an Ashton Kutcher movie I really liked, so this was a first.
I need to give How Do You Know another try. I was so.so.so.sooooooooooo bored when I was watching this movie. It didnt help that the movie is all about endless dialogue (quotable quotes anyone) during the mushy parts and I was working when I watched this. But get this, I stopped the movie five times. I was that bored. I literally just forced myself to finish it.
The Holiday is my favorite among the four, and I looooove, adore, crush Jude Law here
Nice story, lovely setting, perfect romantic comedy with a punch
Britney Spears on V Mag

She is back! With two singles from her upcoming album released, Hold It Against Me and Till the World Ends, it seems that Britney Spears is finally back in business.
New York, NY – Britney Spears announces her seventh studio album is titled Femme Fatale. The iconic global superstar’s title Femme Fatale is a tribute to bold, empowered, confident, elusive, fun, flirty women and men. It’s not a conceptual album, Spears is letting the music speak for itself. She’s worked hard on it for two years and she considers it to be her “best album to date,” true to where she is now personally and professionally.
Femme Fatale (Jive Records) is executive produced by Max Martin and Dr. Luke.
