Why I Love Online Games
I have to confess that I have a passion for online games. I spend a lot of time on the Internet every day, but if I’m online simply surfing for too long, I start to feel like my mind is turning to mush. To jump-start the brain cells and put myself through some mental calisthenics, I’ll play a few online games during the day. Sometimes I might play for an hour or more, but there are plenty of games out there that are quick and easy to play when I just want to play for ten or fifteen minutes.
There are several reasons I prefer online games, but the most obvious is simply that I don’t like downloading too much stuff to my home computer. There’s only so much storage space on the family computer, and I don’t want to take up too much space that would be better for family photos and the like. I also like the impressive selection of online games you can find now for both PCs and Macs. You can play online games that have sound quality and graphics that are just as good as the best games on Xbox or PlayStation!
I’m partial to games that challenge my memory or require good observational skills. Hidden object games and mystery games are two favorites that stimulate my brain and give me a sense of accomplishment, but I have to confess I also love the pure pleasure of shopping games and the fantasy you can find in romance themed games. Role playing online games are also a treat because I can pretend to be someone else for a while without having leave home or compromise my real life. It’s always a great escape to start up an online game and forget about my cares for a few minutes.

Two Clicks to Fun!
The Internet is used for so many things: you can telecommute to work, study, complete and hand in homework, pay bills, order food and merchandise, talk with people across the world, share thoughts, pictures, movies, and do every other essential and recreational part of life.
So, of course, online games are a part of the package too!
Whenever life gets too hectic, you definitely need a break, and the arcade may be too far away. The only thing to do is minimize next month’s quotas and pull up a world of online games that will have you in a good mood and rearing to go–but only after you’ve beaten your last score.
You can enjoy a variety of online games from the familiar staples of gaming to card games like poker, solitaire, and war, to the eclectic games of the Internet that include games with robot unicorns or gang wars. If those seem a little heavy for the lunch break, there are mazes, number challenges, and puzzles that make for a fun distraction.
Online games are just a part of how the world is becoming increasingly digitized, but hey, it’s a fun part. Rolling the dice and buying properties or taking over countries is fun, but with online games, you can lay down sevens over queens with a Brazilian accountant. You can meet people from all over the world or challenge yourself by putting those word per minute skills to work racking up 150,000 points.
So push back from the desk or close out of Biology 102 for a little while, and try your hand at Internet farming, solving mysteries and puzzles, or racing around the speedway. Flex those fingers, adjust your ergonomic keyboard, and enter the world of online games.
It’s better than a desktop nap, right?
