Meeting Label Printing Needs of Every Customer

I recently have had a some frustrations over a particular event I was supposed to be helping out. It was an exclusive party and the client wanted to make sure that the staff and people working behind the scenes were properly identified to avoid unwanted intruders. Since the staff amounted to 250, I wanted to have custom IDs and access cards made for the venue. Custom Printing, unfortunately, can come at such a price. It was too late that I found out about My1Stop.com!

They do Plastic Card Printing and yes, they can custom ones! From the size, color, whether you want a signature area and a place for plastic loops – they can do it for you! They have a minimum order of 250 and from there you can order in increments of 25. Proof can be sent by email (PDF file) or a hard copy can be sent to you by snail mail the next day. They have a fast 3 day turnaround time!

Label Printing can also be done – I should have done the label stickers for all the invites that went out with them too. Full color labels can come in any shape and size (circle, rectangle, oval or square) and you can choose whether you want a glossy or matte finish. Here is a sample:

Going Digital All The Way

When computers were invented and went into “mainstream”, it would only take awhile when everything went digital (read: “computer able”) as well. Add the advent of what is now called the internet technology and then everything went “online”. It seems it is today’s mainstream media, with most businesses setting up web sites and stores setting up online merchant accounts so they cans start selling online.

I really think we reached a new level in multimedia. You have online shopping stores where everything can now be downloaded especially multimedia – songs, videos, movies and even books.

It is really true that digital publishing has changed the book publishing industry. With book readers like the Sony Nook, Amazon Kindle and Apple’s iPhone and iPad, it has certainly taken e-books into another level.

Ebooks have changed the economics of the publishing industry. Very soon, most people you know will have at least one and probably two convenient ways to read electronic books. They will take them on the plane or vacation to save space. They will read the books friends email them.

Digital publishing companies have added ebook publishing in the long list of things they can do digitally. With Aptara, you can have a current book in any format converted into eBook.  eBook creation involves producing them in all formats that are supported by eBook readers. Aptara’s PowerXEditorTM fast publishing tool enables collaboration between content professionals, subject matter experts (SMEs) and reviewers, for more efficient eBook creation, faster-time-to market for web-ready and print content, and lower cost of production.

Aptara provides eBook Production Outsourcing solutions that deliver significant gains in cost, quality and time-to-market for eBook publishers. Having converted tens of millions of eBooks pages for the world’s leading publishers, Aptara offers comprehensive solutions across all content source types and delivery media, including the Amazon Kindle, Apple iPhone/iPad, Sony Reader, and Blackberry devices.

Court Reporting

Accurate court reporting begins with court reporters that possess the right education. Although many court reporters have particular reporting specialties in terms of case type and reporting technology, all reporters should possess the following skills: excellent grammar and punctuation skills, understanding of courtroom and court reporting procedures and a large technical vocabulary that focuses on one or more of the following areas: medicine, law or business.

Cook & Wiley has been the leading Richmond Court Reporters for 25 years.  With Richmond Video Conferencing, Richmond Videography Services, electronic transcripts, synchronization of audio or video with transcript text, exhibit bundling, CART reporting and real time reporting, they are the leading Charlottesville Court Reporters in the industry.

As you search for the best court reporting service among Central Virginia Court Reporters, there are four particular areas that you should focus on: technology, reporter selection process and professionalism.

Cook and Wiley specializes in these areas for court reporting:
Medical Malpractice/Technical
Real Time Reporting
Electronic Transcript Delivery
Deposition Suite and Video Services

Rough Roads and Terrain Driving

It is already the middle of the week and it has been raining non-stop since Saturday! We have been seeing news of flooded roads in the cities, traffic and even land slides on mountain area which holds houses. It has been depressing. While we live in the country, I am grateful that we live in the mountains so floods are the last thing that will happen here. The fog has been very bad though – and since we are only a few houses surrounded by hundreds of trees, we can literally hear the winds crying and howling at night. It can get pretty scary. It also has been cold – so cold that even my kids, who cannot sleep without fans blaring at their uncovered bodies full blast, do not notice when I turn the fan off at night.

Our house in the city is an entirely different story altogether. My sister told me that flood water has not let up since Monday and the rains are making it worse. Only 4×4 cars (SUVs) and trucks can pass through a certain bridge. Our hometown province has dirt roads and only 4×4 cars can pass through it. We need Tire Mounting Tools too, you have to agree that sometimes you need to buy things out of necessity.

Our uncle needs to have his 2008 Ford F-250 upgraded to a lift because he is the mayor of a swamp town and when it rains it gets flooded and muddy!

Personalized Gifts this Christmas

If you are like me, you are extremely lazy when it comes to giving gifts this Christmas. Do not get me wrong – I think about them as early as September but I am a perfectionist and procastinator to the core. I want each gift to be well-thought of but I end up deciding to order them at a later date when it is no longer physically possible to make it in time from Christmas – so I end up not giving gifts this season. Again, for the nth year.

If I had known about the discount printing offered by PSPrint, I would have ordered calendars, post cards and greeting cards this Christmas. Calendars are 25% off, greeting cards 40% off (Maybe I should order in time for Valentine’s Day?) and postcards are 60% off. Their calendars would be the perfect gift to my husband’s colleagues at work – they have individual workstations and it will fit in nicely.

Their greeting cards come in different sizes and folds too – this will be perfect for people who send cards traditionally to all relatives and friends every season.

  • 7" x 5" (folds to 3.5" x 5")
    8.5" x 6" (folds  to 4.25" x 6")
    10" x 7" (folds to (5" x 7")

Card Printers

Since I spend about 90% of my time online most of the time, I have discovered other ways to make money and even get involved deeply into a hobby. That hobby my friends is digital scrapbooking, which can actually be mistaken for graphic design, sometimes. So as long as you got nice and decent design principles, know color palettes and have a good knowledge on Photoshop and Illustrator, you can be one. Of course, typography know how is also a must.

So a buddy saw my potential and has invited me to become a business partner. She is willing to invest and buy card printers from RACO Card Solutions and be a marketing associate as long as I take care of the design and production aspect. This is not your average card-making business. Card printers these days like Zebra, Fargo and Datacard have dual-side printing, monochrome and color card printers.

When you have it, the possibilities are endless. You can scope the market for offices and organizations who need new ID cards. Even libraries and schools (day care centers) need one. You can offer design work for brochures, calling cards, marketing materials and print them yourselves.

The more I think about it, the more I am comfortable with the idea!

Hi! My name is Jane and I’m married to Joe.

The only form of exercise I get everyday is when I surf the virtual waves on the web and the only muscles I have in my body are at the fingertips.

I write all I can find on the web when I surf while sipping my coffee.

PS. And I love joining memes too.
