How I miss reading books. Ever since I discovered the internet years ago, I spent less and less time reading books. The numerous amount of information online has replaced my usual dose of reading materials. Information through the internet is easy and very accessible. Still, I miss the feel of paper on my hand and the smell of books.
So lately, I have been finding more time to go back to the basics. I hope to read at least one book every month. It seems like such a pathetic goal considering that I used to devour two to three books every week when I was younger. However, with the limited amount of free time that I have, I think my goal is quite reasonable.
With my resolve to go back to reading books, I started making comfortable nooks around the house where I could quickly plop down and read. I found several really interesting areas where I can have a few undisturbed moments of reading.
Surprisingly, the kitchen seems to be a quiet place where I can read. Our kitchen light fixturespendant light fixtures are good for focused lighting and she likes reading under them, I am considering replacing the lights in the kitchen with kitchen pendant lighting. It will be great to read while waiting for the food to be cooked or simply while having my coffee. I am also on the lookout for a comfortable bar stool that I can use by the kitchen counter.
I am already excited to start on a good book. Hopefully, I go beyond my minimum and I find enough time to finish more than one book a month. So, do you have any recommendations on good books that I can read?
