Importance of GPS tracking devices

Technology is awesome. It has made our live easier and better. Communication is enhanced and affordable, thanks to VOIP calls, the internet and SMS messaging. One of the more popular advancements in technology are the invention and mass production of GPS tracking systems. These systems were primarily used by the military and investigative forces to track terrorists, their army and for national security. Now it has been made available for common people to use.

Imagine how useful vehicle tracking has become. GPS tracking devices can help you track down a stolen car or a missing vehicle (even your kids who are kidnapped). You need to be well equipped with self defense products and GPS tracking devices to protect yourself and your belongings. Navigation systems are now available in many shapes and sizes with numerous features, from standard GPS tracking devices to computer USB attachments to cell phone integrated devices.

It isn’t only useful when something gets stolen. Courier companies use them for tracking shipments and deliveries too. GPS tracking device comes in handy for transport companies as it enables them to track their vehicles and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.

When installed in your car, it will help you not to get lost again, provided you know how to use the device correctly. They enable you to maneuver different routes and help you in tracing your destination if you get lost. GPS or Global Positioning System, units for cars are devices that receive and decode signals from a network of satellites that allow you to determine where you are and exactly how to get to a particular destination.

I would want one for our car, especially when I finally start to drive (Just started learning how to!). It would bring peace of mind to my husband who will, without a doubt, worry about me a lot when I am out.

Movies: The Holiday, How Do You Know?, No Strings Attached, All About Steve

It’s been awhile since I made a movie post. Since I love girly romantic movies, here are the latest four movies I have watched lately:

The Holiday
How Do You Know?
No Strings Attached
All About Steve

No Strings Attached and How Do You Know? are newer films while the other two are circa 2006 and 2010(?).

All of these are light, feel-good movies. Sandra has perfected romantic comedy to a T. She plays Mary Horowitz in All About Steve perfectly! And lest you think this movie is all about Bradley Cooper (Steve), it isn’t. It is all about a cruciverbalist (Crossword puzzle maker – that’s a real job, as evidenced by Mary, who even attended a career orientation to discuss but she ends up feeling depressed.

No Strings Attached was a surprisingly nice movie. I have not seen an Ashton Kutcher movie I really liked, so this was a first.

I need to give How Do You Know another try. I was so.so.so.sooooooooooo bored when I was watching this movie. It didnt help that the movie is all about endless dialogue (quotable quotes anyone) during the mushy parts and I was working when I watched this. But get this, I stopped the movie five times. I was that bored. I literally just forced myself to finish it.

The Holiday is my favorite among the four, and I looooove, adore, crush Jude Law here :) Nice story, lovely setting, perfect romantic comedy with a punch :)

Remodelling the Bathroom

If there is one thing I would love to change about where we currently live, it would be the kitchen and the bathroom. Our kitchen is a mess but we have no choice but to bear with it for a little while longer. Meanwhile, I am itching to remodel our bathroom. If only this is our own home, I would have done some serious Atlanta home remodeling already. However, we are only renting, so we need to just “go with the flow” and “grin and bear it”. When we get our own home, then we can finally have our way with everything.

I have read some home magazines and I read an article saying that bathroom remodeling in Atlanta should not be as expensive as it should be. If you do not have the budget to replace bathroom tiles, install new tubs and shower heads, then simple putting up new bathroom shower curtains, bringing in plants and decluttering would make a great difference.

Of course, when you need to really remodel, this is where all the hard work (and money) comes in. You can hire someone do it or if you are feeling like doing it yourself, be sure to be ready for everything. Most modern homes now use green products even in the bathroom. They have toilets installed that conserve water, and even install
radiant barrier foil in Atlanta. Radiant barrier foil is a newer product that is growing in popularity when it comes to increasing your home’s energy efficiency. The three main types include two-sided with micro perforations, two-sided without micro perforations, and two-sided with bubble wrap in the center.

Furnished Apartments

The company I used to work for would regularly send batches of employees to their corporate headquarters in Virginia to undergo specific training. It was an all-expense paid trip – travel fare, lodging and meal allowances. I remember my co-worker narrated how they were housed in Furnished Apartments Richmond, VA that has swimming pools (which they were not able to enjoy because they came in the middle of winter) and high-speed internet access.

Richmond, VA Corporate Housing is available in many selected areas and the company was able to get them into the very exclusive 1200 Acqua Furnished Apartments. Not only does it come fully-furnished – complete with flat TVs with cable and DVD player, personal washer and dryer and a kitchen with most appliance – it also has swimming pools and fitness centers. You certainly would not get bored living in these apartments!

This is a more popular and cost-effective alternative than staying in hotels. You get to feel like you’re in a real home – a home away from home.

The Gift of Fruit

Instead of giving chocolates, wine or sweet treats, why not give fruit gift baskets instead? I am sure that it will be more appreciated by new moms, people who are sick, your parents and new neighbors. We all have reasons to stay healthy these days. The gift of fruit is a thoughtful way to encourage everybody to eat healthy!

Here are some fruit gift baskets from Red Envelope. Take your pick!
