iPhone Apps: New Games?

While I ponder what to do with my blackheads on nose (should I just let them be or have a facial already?) I need games recommendations from all of you.

I do not play that much. I am pretty loyal to Bejewelled Blitz. But I have kids who need to be entertained.

So far I have downloaded Bop It, Egg vs Chicken and Angry Birds Rio. I also think Kids Company Mouth is promising.

Any recommendations?

iPad 2

ipad2

Lesson learned: Always wait for the second of third generations of every Apple product that comes out.

Isn’t it frustrating to know that the iPad2 comes with a smartcover AND camera and retails the same price as the iPad?

It’s always better to wait or do your research before buying (like read hostgator reviews before signing up with them)

1. Faster – iPad 2 is faster device with new chip called A5, dual core processor and upto 9x faster graphics.

2. Thinner – It is 33% thinner from 13.4mm to 8.8mm, even thinner than Apple iPhone 4 device.

3. Colors – iPad 2 is available in 2 color options: white and black.

4. Cameras – Take pictures and perform video chat with 2 cameras on iPad 2 device.

5. Magnetic Cover – New iPad 2 has magnetic cover for the screen. Besides protecting the screen, it automatically cleans iPad 2 screen surface.

iPhone Apps: iPhoneography Tools

The iPhone (or any smartphone) has become an indispensable tool in today’s world. From watching movies, listening to music, reading books, taking photos, entertaining with games, utilities, navigation tools and even for conference call services.

One of the things I am so into right now is taking pictures with my iPhone and putting it in another level. I love that I have friends who know so much about iPhone apps that I just learn what to get from them :)

Here are the apps I just downloaded:
* Camera Bag
* Camera+
* Colorsplash
* Diptic
* Flickr
* Halftone
* Hipstamatic
* Instagram
* LabelBox
* Pocketbooth
* ToonCamera

Jodi Picoult Plain Truth

I finally got to reading again – go me!

“Our culture promotes individuality, while the Amish are deeply entrenched in community. To us, if someone stands out, it’s not a big deal because diversity is respected and expected. To the Amish, there’s no room for deviation from the norm. It’s important to fit it, because that similarity of identity is what defines the society. If you don’t fit in, the consequences are psychologically tragic – you stand alone when all you’ve ever known is being part of the group” — from Plain Truth, chapter 16.

plain truth jodi picoult

When a young Amish teen hides a pregnancy, gives birth in secret, and then flatly denies it all when the baby’s body is found, urban defense attorney Ellie Hathaway decides to defend her. But she finds herself caught in a clash of cultures with a people whose channels of justice are markedly different from her own… and discovers a place where circumstances are not always what they seem.

I finished the book while I was waiting for the approval of my cousin’s Medicare part D plan. And like any Jodi book I have ready, this book is something I just couldn’t put down up until I have read the verdict and who actually murdered (if ever there was) the baby. What I love most about her books is that you make your own ending and formulate what really happened. Like Keeping Faith, you judge the characters. There is no black and white characters in Jodi’s stories, all of them are in shades of grey.

Investing in the Kitchen

We bought our first investment for our kitchen in our future home a few weeks ago. It is an electric stove-top cooker which we got at such an incredible price. And the freebies that went with it are amazing! We got a multi-cooker (grill, steam, deep-fry), and a 13 piece stainless steel kitchenware set that rivals that of the SaladMaster line! I haven’t opened anything yet, I am afraid I might break them before we even get to own a house! The reason we got that is because kitchen equipment of high quality are a good investment. And I am investing in the things that will give great happiness to my family – I am investing on things that will cook what they love best, FOOD!

It reminds me to finally get down to creating a menu for the week as we are due to go to the market tomorrow. Thursdays are Market Day for us. I am running out of ideas what to cook, especially now that the husband is home everyday and he can get quite critical on how I plan our menu. For example, he expects that pasta is served only as a snack and you shouldn’t have twice the same kind of viand in two days straight.

The only consolation for me is that he loves what I cook!

Hi! My name is Jane and I’m married to Joe.

The only form of exercise I get everyday is when I surf the virtual waves on the web and the only muscles I have in my body are at the fingertips.

I write all I can find on the web when I surf while sipping my coffee.

PS. And I love joining memes too.
