Buying kitchen stuff is not the same as picking out furniture. Kitchen equipment and utensils require much more attention and are more prone to damage because of regular use. In my case though, here are the factors I consider whenever I‘m buying kitchen utensils or kitchen equipment.
Materials and frequency of use
Most kitchen stuffs vary in composition. Some are made of metal, others of porcelain, plastic, or even glass. Depending on how often I’d use a particular kitchen utensil, I’d choose one made of the appropriate component. For example, because I like to use the chopping board a lot, I’d rather go for one made of resin than one made of plastic. This is because it’s easier and faster to clean the one made of resin than the plastic board.
Cost varies depending on the component and usually of the brand. This is usually of secondary concern to me except for times when I’m on a tight budget. After all, you don’t really have much of a choice if you can’t afford the best option. However, to go around the problem of budget, I make it a point to do my kitchen stuff shopping when they are on sale.
This is the least of my priorities, but that’s only because I personally take good care of everything in my kitchen. If you’re like me who oversees all kitchen preparations and cleanups, you don’t need to spend extra on warranty.
About a decade ago, mobile phones were luxuries, afforded only by those who were always on the go, truly devoted to their businesses, or those from the higher echelons of society. Nowadays, that’s the case anymore. In fact, almost everyone owns or has access to a mobile phone or two. Even children these days get the portable communication devices as birthday or Christmas gifts.
I remember getting my first one when in was in high school. It didn’t take me too long though to replace it. After that, I can’t remember how many times I’ve changed phones. I’ve lost some, broke some, outlived some, and gotten tired of some which is why it’s difficult for me to track how many units I’ve actually handled or used. In fact, I’d probably be able to afford a new upgrade if I knew that time that I could sell my phone.
It makes me feel a bit ashamed though because I wasn’t too aware of what was going on then. I didn’t care about what would happen to the units I’ve replaced or if I could even find any other use for them. All I was interested in was getting the newest model and having the latest features. That was it. You don’t really care much about the world when you’re a teenager anyway.
However, I know better now. I’ll make sure my kids know what to do when it’s time for them to get their mobile phones.
A friend of mine in the United States is buying a car soon and it reminded me of our plans to get our own car as well. They have been eyeing different Chevrolet cars and they have been carefully studying the camaro specs because her husband really wants one. Aside from the camaro, they are also looking at Colorado specs just in case they decided to get a pickup truck. They like to travel with their Labrador retriever and getting a pickup truck seems to be the better idea. They are hoping to finally make a decision soon so that they could use it this coming holiday season.
My husband and I have also been planning to get our own car and we are interested in the Chevrolet aveo. My friend also suggested it because it seems like a good family car. We also liked the aveo specs that a car agent showed us. It is relatively lower priced than other small cars of other car brands. It seems perfect for our small family. It looks good and according to most reviews, more fuel efficient. I think the car is a great compromise between size and fuel efficiency. We do not really like big cars that mean big fuel expenses. We would also prefer something bigger than the popular subcompact cars that most car brands are promoting.
Hopefully, we will be able to get a new car soon. It will really be a big help for us especially since it can be quite difficult to travel with two kids in tow.
