Organic Farming – Is it For You?
I have previously written about recycling and how you can take it a step further. Since April is the month for Earth Day, I find it would be apt for me to impart some information about taking care of your own produce – yes, the ones you buy and ultimately eat.
Over the years, most state officials are extending support for the local market where organic farmers sell their own produce. Organic farming methods replace the chemical fertilizers and pesticides with natural methods of food cultivation. National News Today reports that Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) has become a popular way for consumers to buy local, seasonal food directly from a farmer. Can you imagine getting farm direct organic apples like the organic fruit of the month, Washington organic apples, from a seller who is directly responsible for making it grow?
