Him and Her Movies

image image

Iron man is out today and we are contemplating if we will have our date night watching movies or dining out. Sadly, we cannot have both – as we can only leave our kids to the sitter for a short period of time. I have seen the stills of Iron Man and oh my, Scarlett Johansen is HOT HOT HOT!!!!

In two weeks (Or more), I will be watching Carrie and the girls with my girls. I hope it pushes through. I think this movie is better watched in the comforts of fellow girlfriends :)

My family are huge movie buffs, that when we finally have our own house, I wouldn’t even contest if my husband would want a specific room for family movies – complete with a huge flat TV screen and sound surround. But while it remains a dream, we need to save more (and fast) so we can see it happening within two years. I have been advised to buy silver bullion by friends as it seems to have replaced stocks and bonds as the greatest thing to invest in these days. Silver and gold have always been in demand, never have depreciated and is as good as cash. Monex offers bullions or bars if you are interested.

The 2010 TIME 100 – The World’s Most Influential People

How do you narrow the world’s 100 most influential people? Apparently, Time Magazine was able to, and I look forward to a lot of opinions and controversies when this hits the shelves.

Apparently, Sarah Pahlin is included as a LEADER and Bill Clinton as a HERO. Where is Al Gore and his work for the environment? Lady Gaga is there – no contest about that. Her weird and forward ways of thinking is very 2000-ish. I wont be surprised if she is Generation Z’s icon like how my years were Madonna :)

Ashton Kutcher is there too – because he was the first to bring Twitter to mainstream by commanding a million followers beating a news channel Twitter account? Hmmmmm….OH-kay. He might be influential too if he endorses an acne cleanser!

Read all about them here.

Glee Soundtrack

I am so GLEE-ful today :)

Thanks to an online friend I was able to download the latest episodes of Glee (We don’t have cable) and the soundtrack, with the Madonna episode songs complete too. I love how the Glee cast is well-represented, with a jock, a nerd, the cheerleader, the ethnic races are also represented and the handicapped! Mercedes doesn’t need clinicallix to be able to strut her stuff – I love her :)

Now I am working while swaying and dancing along the songs:

Defying Gravity is a favorite. I really need to download Wicked – the songs might just get me hooked! Broadway is Love!

In Love with this Beauty

imageWhile Quinn Fabray was just so-so on the first installment of Glee’s first season, I was surprised on her change on Episode 14 onwards, especially when she announced she was pregnant. Her beauty became more appealing, and well, I love profile! So perfect for art, I must say.

If only I can copy how she does her hair and make-up, I have learned to apply make-up on my face, but it’s just really basic coverage. There is a  cosmetology school in Tennessee that everyone can go to. Regency is the fastest growing beauty school in the country. Regency has expanded from two Minnesota schools in 2002 to almost 30 campuses across nine states, with continued growth underway for next year.

Look at their eye make-up here!

Eclipse

Of course, this blog needs its dose of vampires and werewolves with the Eclipse movie so close to showing! This movie should be a good one as I loved Book 3 among the Twilight saga. It remains to be my most favorite among the three. The tent scene (where there is no mattress I assume) should be a good one OR ELSE I WILL BE SO ANGRY AT THIS MOVIE’s DIRECTOR :) Hehehe.

So where will you go? Run with the werewolves or side with the vampires?
My heart stays with Edward on this one but Jacob is one tough act to beat.

Here’s the official movie overview from Fandango:

Bella once again finds herself surrounded by danger as Seattle is ravaged by a string of mysterious killings and a malicious vampire continues her quest for revenge. In the midst of it all, she is forced to choose between her love for Edward and her friendship with Jacob — knowing that her decision has the potential to ignite the ageless struggle between vampire and werewolf. With her graduation quickly approaching, Bella is confronted with the most important decision of her life.

1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die

I got this from sister’s Tumblr site and she claims to have read only 10 out of the thousand books featured. I haven’t even gone through the massive list yet, but I assume I might have only read 5 or less. I got caught up reading romantic novels when I should be reading brain books – before my brain turned into mush. My sisters have a massive collection of books from different genres – everything but the stone sink, as the saying goes.

But I would look to this list for future reference

Paper Goods Must Have

I have downloaded the PDF version of this lovely notepad from the Leo on the Loose blog before but they are now on sale at Etsy, and somebody please buy me one! I am actually thinking if I should just order it.  I am a list-maker, and even if I am a clutterer and a mess maker, I find peace whenever I list things down, like buying a glass mosaic tile for example, even if I never accomplish everything on my list :)

All of these are linked by the way, just in case :)
