Me and my cup of Joe

I never thought there would come a time that coffee would be such an essential part of my daily routine. Depending on the season, I like my coffee iced or steaming hot. Usually, I wake up at around 4AM so I can have my peace and quiet before all hell breaks loose and the kids wake up. I drink my first cup of the day during that time. Once the kids wake up at 6-8AM, by 9AM I would need my second cup. Usually, I want it on a tall glass with lots of ice. I just need a burst of caffeine in my system so I can forego napping. After lunch when my youngest takes a nap, depending on my workload, I would either sleep as well, or drink my third cup, so I can focus on work. I try not to drink coffee after 4PM since I am trying to reverse my bodyclock and want to sleep regular hours. But if I need to work overtime, you would find a cup of coffee keeping me company until the wee hours of the morning. The One Cup Coffee Maker is such a great help to me. Since I am the only one who drinks coffee in the house, it would be a waste of coffee if I prepare it in bulk. The cup coffee maker is perfect!

House Inspiration

I have been poring over house interior decorating magazines lately.Ever since we started fixing things around the house and started decorating, I have not been able to take interior decorating off my mind. There are so many things I would like to do with our house that sometimes it gets frustrating especially since we have limited budget and space to accomplish everything we want to do. We have been taking care of the big details first and after that if we have extra money left, we can invest on the little details or decorations in the house. You can call them the nice eye candy stuff!

For example, we have already finished dressing up my office space – a tiny workstation where I can work in peace without losing my stuff. We also have a proper bed with frame so we now invested on new fluffy pillows and 300 ct-bed sheets. Now I want to buy matching side tables and a new dresser too. Beaded Curtains that are along the same hues are also in my wish list. The list never ends, honestly! A friend advised me to list all the things I want to buy and if there is extra money left in the monthly budget, I can refer to the list so I can cross it one at a time. I would be surprised at the amoung of stuff I can finish! Let’s hope we can accomplish everything this year!

Rough Roads and Terrain Driving

It is already the middle of the week and it has been raining non-stop since Saturday! We have been seeing news of flooded roads in the cities, traffic and even land slides on mountain area which holds houses. It has been depressing. While we live in the country, I am grateful that we live in the mountains so floods are the last thing that will happen here. The fog has been very bad though – and since we are only a few houses surrounded by hundreds of trees, we can literally hear the winds crying and howling at night. It can get pretty scary. It also has been cold – so cold that even my kids, who cannot sleep without fans blaring at their uncovered bodies full blast, do not notice when I turn the fan off at night.

Our house in the city is an entirely different story altogether. My sister told me that flood water has not let up since Monday and the rains are making it worse. Only 4×4 cars (SUVs) and trucks can pass through a certain bridge. Our hometown province has dirt roads and only 4×4 cars can pass through it. We need Tire Mounting Tools too, you have to agree that sometimes you need to buy things out of necessity.

Our uncle needs to have his 2008 Ford F-250 upgraded to a lift because he is the mayor of a swamp town and when it rains it gets flooded and muddy!

Celebrity Hollywood Edition Makeovers

I was leafing through paparazzi magazine of Hollywood celebrities the whole afternoon. An aunt brought home a lot of magazines from her visit to the United States and it was my chance to really catch up with the stars.

I noticed there were a lot of stars who underwent a few makeovers – usually nose jobs, botox, breast reductions and liposuction. There were a lot of horror stories – a lot of celebrity makeovers gone wrong. I have seen celebrities who are perfect with their little imperfections but still decide to go under the knife – the result? I honestly think they look weird but the camera loves their “perfect” faces so who am I to object? Besides, they need to invest on their physical appearance because that’s really where their money comes from.

There are surgeries gone bad too, like Michael Jackson’s numerous rhinoplasties or Tara Reid’s disastrous tummy tuck. Michael Jackson even underwent Eyelid Plastic Surgery! I have seen unflattering pictures of them blasted all over tabloids and wonder if ever their plastic surgeons are still alive.

There are surgeries which are nicely and subtly done too. If you look at Zac Efron’s and Julia Robert’s noses, you would notice a very slight (better) difference from their older pictures. And that’s what cosmetic plastic surgery is for. It is to enhance and not really alter one’s appearance. That is why Miami Plastic Surgery is famous for liposuction, breast augmentations and nose lifts.

Hi! My name is Jane and I’m married to Joe.

The only form of exercise I get everyday is when I surf the virtual waves on the web and the only muscles I have in my body are at the fingertips.

I write all I can find on the web when I surf while sipping my coffee.

PS. And I love joining memes too.
