FireProof
Ever watched the movie Fireproof? It is a very nice movie about putting God in your marriage and working to save one’s marriage. It tells of a story of a chief firefighter seeming to be at a losing end at the fire raging in his own home – a failing marriage.
It also made me look into another side of firefighters. It is not all about dousing and stopping fires. You go into a building or a house on fire with a partner and never leave him. You should know how to assess how fire develops so you will know how to kill it, how to save people inside it. You also should know how to prevent one. That is why if you want to become a firefighter, you need to have a Bachelor of arts in fire service administration to assure that you will progress in your field.
You get to learn more about the fire service field – risk management, loss prevention, resource management, legal issues and staffing. Here are some areas you can be put into after:
- Forest Fire Fighting & Prevention Supervisors
Municipal Fire Fighters
Training Offices
Forest Fire Fighters
Fire Inspectors
Fire Investigators
