Tuesday Couch Potatoes: Favorite Disney Fairytale Movie.

This week’s theme is Favorite Disney Fairytale Movie. If you love princesses and knights in shining armor, fairy godmothers, good conquering evil and happy ever afters, then come join us this week!
WOW, this one is hard. I am a self-confessed Disney Lover –I am not ashamed to say that I have seen ALL movies of Disney, down to their classics (think black and white movies) – but from their fairy tale movie line-ups (I’m thinking Disney Princesses here), it is a toss-up between two movies: Mulan and Enchanted.
Maybe because I love how unconventional Mulan was among the usual damsel in distress. I love the story, and have watched it more than 100 times – I’m not kidding.
It doesn’t help that I have a crush on Captain Li Shang – I think he is hot!
And here is a trivia for you – this is my most favorite song ever in the soundtrack – cant help but feel Broadway here!
I’ll Make a Man Out of You(be sure to watch this!)

And I just have to make sure I have Enchanted on my list – this is really the modern day fairytale. I love how they incorporated bits and pieces of all Disney fairy tale movies, I love their soundtrack, I love McDreamy (who wouldn’t?)
I honestly replayed the That’s How You Know scene and of course, the So Close scene.
For actually two weeks after I watched the movies, I had the song on repeat before I went to sleep.
I LOVED this week’s question – thank you so MUCH for the prompt!

I love So Close!!! Simply seeing those words here gave me goosebumps.
We have the same pick of movie enchanted and all the fairytale cartoons are present yata sa movie na ito.
i was thinking, it was only me and the kids who watched Mulan over and over again, about 30 times or more i guess. sure 100? not kidding? that must be in guinness record. lol. honestly, super love ko si mulan and also my kids. in fact, memorize na nila ang linya ng lahat ng characters sa movie.
Haven’t seen this one yet… Yeah I know, I am bad at movies lol..
Here’s my fairy tale
my pick is Mulan and I posted that video on my blog. I loved that part.
100 times? wow!! I think my daughter has watched this at least 20 times..;)

Mulan is indeed an unconventional character which made her more appealing! I have seen this many times too but not 100 times. “How can I make a man out of you” is one of my fave scenes! It showed Mulan’s determination, ingenuity and willpower. I’d say it is girlpower at its finest to think that it was set in a time when women were supposed to stay at home, learn about housechores and get married.
I’ll have to remember if I’ve seen Enchanted though. With the countless movies I have watched, I can barely remember. Heheh!
Thanks for joining this week. Hope to see you next week for our robot/cyborg movie. Hugs!
