Vehicle Fleet Programs

One of the benefits you can get from a company especially if you are working or is expected to do field work is getting a car. That’s all part of the car allocation and travel expense locked in with your employment. There are companies who are generous when it comes to this. There are companies who really need help allocating car allowance schemes into their employee budget so they can give away cars to their employees.

This is where Corporate Reimbursement Services, Inc. (CRS) comes in. They will do everything for you. They can give personalized services – evaluating each driver and how much reimbursement he should get. They will obtain the yearly Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) to make sure the company has responsible drivers/employees. Their Fleet program is truly one of a kind.

This set up benefits both employers and employees. For employers, getting into partnership with CRS might be costly at first but they will be cutting a lot of time management and reducing liability by letting CRS take care of everything. The ease of administration is one thing too – you just need to refer to them if anything about the car and mobile plans crop up.

For employees, the simple thought of having someone take care and make sure you are doing your job is enough.

iPhone vs. Blackberry

I have never been someone who needs to have the most updated mobile phone there is in the market. Truth be told, I have been using the second to the oldest model of the Nokia series for five years (GASP! Yes!) up until I got a free phone when I applied for a line. So I have never been updated with polyphonic tones, bluetooth messaging, tunes, MMS and G3 access. Until now.

iphone blackberry

Blame it on Twitter and Facebook. Somehow, it has become a need to stay connected all the time. Add to that was my rediscovered love for reading but apparent lack of funds to support buying books made of paper (my green mind doesn’t want to support them anymore even if my eyes love them) – enter e-books. So there goes my dilemna.

The solution? Upgrade my phone.

I am torn between the iPhone and the Blackberry. Of course, I *think* most features are the same (correct me if I am wrong). A friend has demonstrated to me the features of an iPhone (and even I was impressed, Apple non-lover that I am) and pointed out to me I can get the iTouch for less but with the same features except for a mobile phone (which is the only feature I don’t mind having, really). Apparently, with the iPhone/iTouch, I can have applications installed so I can play games, read books, listen to music, and priority number 1: CONNECT TO THE INTERNET. And, I can put it into an iphone dock and it will become like a Nano/mp3 player.

Does the Blackberry have the same features? All I know about the Blackberry is that most celebrities use it for Twitter, it has a QWERTY keyboard, needs a special blackberry case because of its width, and its screen is obviously smaller than the iPhone (negative points for eBook reading). Would I need a Bluetooth Headset for it? (Yes, I am THAT clueless).

So your choice – convince me, which one should I get?

Quaker Oats: Good For the Heart

Quaker Oats That’s what Quaker Oats cereal, or oatmeal, has for its tagline.

Quaker Oats.
Good for the heart.

When coronary heart disease became one of the tip five leading causes of mortality around the globe, doctors, scientists and health experts have tried to find a way to not only stop it, but prevent it from happening.

Enter the discovery of the importance omega fatty acids to the body. These essential fatty acids contain the link to prevent buildup of fat along the coronary arteries thus preventing coronary heart disease.

Fish oil omega 3 fatty acids can be found in abundance in fish (oils mostly, tuna is best). It has been clinically proven that it has the components necessary to stimulate the breakdown of fibrin, which helps clot and scar formation – making you not an easy target for varicose veins, high blood pressure and high blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels.

Omega 3 health supplements of course, quite expectedly, in abundance today, as manufacturers try to capitalize on the amazing discovery. However be wary of false or impure supplements. A quick way to test it is to store them in the freezer overnight. If the capsules, which should always be clear, turn hazy, it means that are impurities, commonly lard on it. Make sure to get pure supplements! Omax™ is proven to be a pure omega 3 health supplement.

A Fall Meme

Sunday Stealing: A Fall Meme

It’s not really fall in until…

What did you need to do in the waning days of summer for it to feel complete?
I need to go to the beach, most definitely!

A person I know was wrong for me but about whom I frequently thought after a break-up was…
someone Id rather not name :)

If you could only attend one major sporting event what would it be?
Beach volleyball.

Assuming that you write an anonymous or partially anonymous blog, by what non-physically identifying characteristics might you be identified in a bar?
I have a very characteristic writing style. People, friends actually, recognize me, almost instantly.

Most blogs cover some sort of niche – personal, political, dating, culinary, etc. What topic, if any, would you like to address on your blog but doesn’t fit into your niche?
Dating and Political.

If you could manipulate the time space continuum and give as many as three pieces of advice to a younger version of yourself, what advice would you give and to what age of you?
Age 9 – Dont be in a hurry to grow up.
Age 15 – Listen to your Mom
Age 19 – Mind over heart, and pray for guidance.

Who  among your friends do you really wish had a blog because their stories, or perspective on something ought to be shared?
My dad actually. He is really wise.

If you were to take an e-cation (vacation from the trappings of our electronic world,) and assuming that employment obligations would allow it, how long of a break could you take? What would you miss the most, the least?
I’d take a break from the internet for a week. I’d miss Twitter the most, because I connect there daily with friends. I’d miss waiting for jobs the least.

On September 11th of this year, I attended a couple of parties and was somewhat conflicted by the fact that this ignoble anniversary shall pass with it being just another day in the eyes of many (and in some ways my own eyes as well.) Thoughts?
People should move on. They should remember it in heart, not necessarily stop for it.

How high are your walls? Who was the last person to scale them? What tools should would-be climbers have on their belt?
I have high walls. The last person who was able to scale them is now my best friend. You need perseverance, a witty sense of humor, and patience.

The sexiest thing a man or a woman can say to you (or has said to you) is:
Tell me I’m the sexiest woman as well ;)
