To-Do

I found this cute, insightful blog while surfing in imgfave.com. Love how simple yet thought-provoking the post-it notes are. I am posting some of my “to-do” post-its.

NOTES TO SELF:

Common Solutions to Common Ailments

We all get sick at one point or another some time in our lives. What really is different is how we treat our ailments and how we respond to it. For example, a common cold can be treated using over-the-counter medication (self treatment), herbal medicine (which is gaining popularity these days), oints and liniments and through consultations with a medical professional. Treatments for Symptoms are still best taken cared of by a licensed medical professional, in my opinion. This person has slaved away for almost 10 or more years getting the knowledge and training needed to take care of the most important population, the human species.

Want to know more about the person behind the brain SPECT imaging process? Get in touch with Dr Daniel Amen Clinics in the Media and find out how his practice helped treat psychiatric patients.

Common ailments usually go away on their own with proper rest. But if it doesn’t go away in a week, it’s time to consult a doctor.

Movie: Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

Ghosts of Girlfriends Past

Stars: Matthew McConaughey; Jennifer Garner

Summary:

Connor Mead (Matthew McConaughey) is a notorious photographer who has a bad boy reputation of loving beautiful women and dumping them when they fall in love with him. Beautiful models and celebrities flock to his studio to get their picture taken, usually in lingerie, and throw themselves at him. Conner is so overloaded with women that he has to breakup with three women at the same time during a conference call in front of his next prey. His brother Paul (Breckin Meyer) is about to get married, and Connor thinks he is making a terrible mistake. As an incorrigible bachelor, Connor loves his freedom more than ever settling down and loving only one woman. Connor tries to talk Paul out of getting married, and it looks like Connor is about to succeed. Then the night before the wedding, Connor is visited by three ghosts, who take him back to his past, present, and his lonely future. They try to discovery the point in time where Connors became this womanizing jerk. Maybe there is still time to change him into a sensitive, feeling, and caring person that he once was, and he may even find his true love.

  • I love that the movie revolves around a 24-48-hour period and that the story line is fast-paced but does not sacrifice the essence of the story
  • I maybe lame but I love Matthew McConaughey here, more here than on How to Lose a Man in 10 Days
  • Jennifer Garner seriously needs to plump her cheeks a little. Her sideview profile makes her look like a (Horse).
  • I am a sucker for first love never dies plots. It holds true here. And no matter how much you try, it really never goes away.
  • Michael Douglas is cute here, so does Matthew’s supposedly little brother.

All in all this is a feel-good movie. I do not claim to make nice reviews because I really don’t care for serious stuff. But if you like feel-good, light romance movies, this one needs to be on top of your list :)

Top 10 Celebrity Smiles

Whoever coined the sentence, “A smile lights up the entire face.”, was not joking – it really does! That is why most Hollywood celebrities have their crowns whitened, straightened and even capped to make sure they look their best. They can afford to fork out thousands of dollars for this – it’s their job to be beautiful. I bet celebrity dentist Dr Jonathan Levine is always fully booked with clients.

If you are wondering which celebrities are touted to have best celebrity smiles, look no more as I did my research and here they are.

Jessica AlbaBridget MoynahanGisele Bundchen Scarlett JohanssonRebecca GayheartKate Beckinsale Katherine HeiglJennifer GarnerJulia Roberts Megan Fox

Top 1 to 10: Jessica Alba, Bridget Moynahan, Gisele Bundchen, Scarlett Johansson, Rebecca Gayheart, Kate Beckinsale, Katherine Heigl, Jennifer Garner, Julia Roberts, Megan Fox

According to a research, Jessica Alba tops the list because her smile is closest to the standards of a good smile called Golden Proportions. Note that even imperfect smiles like those of Rebecca Gayheart are still included (she has her lateral incisor longer than a central incisor).

The only form of exercise I get everyday is when I surf the virtual waves on the web and the only muscles I have in my body are at the fingertips.

I write all I can find on the web when I surf while sipping my coffee.
