10 Traits You Look for in a Romantic Interest

Heck I’m already married but I’m not necessarily describing my man here.

1. Fear of God

I’m someone who values my religious beliefs so much. I also believe that a man will pass on his faith to his kids. I want someone who fears the Lord in a sense that he doesn’t want to go to hell = he doesn’t want to sin = he doesn’t want to do bad.

I believe that genuine fear and love of God makes a man. It builds, supports and maintains the character and gives him principles.

2. Humor

I’d like a man who can laugh at himself and see the funny things in life even if it gives more reasons to cry.

From humor stems optimism and hope. I don’t want a man who sulks and gets depressed all the time.

3. Sense of Responsibility.

A man needs to have genuine balls. You know the kind that not necessarily sweeps you off your feet. I want a man who carries me all the way steadily – that I hardly ever notice it.

This gives him a sense of direction and perseverance.

4. Hardworking

I cannot have a better example than this than my father-in-law. He started a company from scratch, and up to now, works himself at 5AM everyday. And yet he lives a simple life.

5. Street Smart

If he has a good brain, better. But I’d like a man who can survive. I guess you can say he needs to have high EQ?

6. Maturity

Hmmm.. this is a little vague. But maturity can gather these traits: sense of commitment, non-judgmental, understanding, and all the things you see in a man who has balls.

7. Height and a Nice Smile (Throw in a Nice Pair of Teeth)

Contrary to what I say all the time that I love good-looking men, I’ve had my bad taste of them – not necessarily because they were losers, but they were just not that as nice looking. I just want men who are taller than me and has a smile that can throw beams of sunshine. Ooooh lalala. Aim that smile on me and I’m done baby.

8. Has a Genuine Sense of Self

I’m talking about my needs here. I’ve got a pretty strong character and I admit I sometimes step on the male ego more than I want to. My guy needs to know he wears the pants in the family even if I show otherwise. No space for insecurities.

9. Family Man

I’m all for my family.

10. Someone who loves me for me.

No exceptions. No clauses. No add-ons. Even if I was the ugliest woman in the world, he can still see right through me, and still choose me.

Monday, Coffee and Me.

Hi! My name is Jane and I’m married to Joe.

The only form of exercise I get everyday is when I surf the virtual waves on the web and the only muscles I have in my body are at the fingertips.

I write all I can find on the web when I surf while sipping my coffee.

PS. And I love joining memes too.
